The annual RUSH Regatta is an event that has happened for the past eight years. This event provides the opportunity for students on Team RUSH to build a boat out of cardboard and duct-tape and race them at our local beach, Deer Lake. Not only are students challenged in the engineering realm, but they are also challenged to fundraise for the team. Students are trained to cold call companies for sponsorship. This past year, the Regatta has generated over 170 sponsors and $40,000. Each year the rules, as well as goals, change so that students are challenged to accomplish more than they did the year before.
