FIRST Junior Lego League (JFLL)
Jr. FLL teams consist of 2-6 members (grades K-4). They start by exploring a real life problem. Then they create a Show Me poster that illustrates their journey of discovery and introduces their team. They also construct a motorized model of what they learned using LEGO elements. In the process, teams learn about teamwork respect, sharing, and critical thinking.

FIRST Lego League (FLL)
FLL teams consist of 4-6 students (grades 3-5) Working together to design and program a Lego robot to accomplish a variety of challenges (picking, moving, throwing, driving, etc.) related to a theme that the students also research and present on. This year's theme will be “Hydro-Dynamics”, which will challenge the teams to come up with ideas for how to solve a real world problem.

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)
FTC teams consist of 6-8 students. It is designed for students in grades 6-8 to compete head to head, using a sports model. Teams are responsible for designing, building and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Teams, including coaches, mentors and volunteers, develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles. Awards are given for the competition as well as for the community outreach, design and other real-world accomplishments.
